Holy Macaroni Birthday Shaker Card ... Heffy Friends Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Heffy Friends Blog Hop! Today we are celebrating the new Heffy Doodle release with some great inspiration  and a giveaway, too!  Is  this not a super cute stamp set?  It is called Pasta La Vista and I thought it would make a great shaker card!

Tutorial Time!\

A - I colored 8 of the elbow macaroni pasta with alcohol markers and fussy cut them out (there is a matching die set availbel for this stamp set). I grabbed my A2 nesting dies to create the front of this macaroni box and the window using the 1 3/8" x 3 5/8" die to cut a box front out of blue cardstock and a box back from Kraft cardstock.  The window of the box is a 2 3/8" x 1 1/8" opening
B -  I turned the blue box front over and glued a piece of  2" x 3 1/4" acetate to seal the box window and added 2 layers of adhesive foam on the back of the box to create the area where will put the pasta will be placed
C - I added the elbow  macaroni to the box ans sealed it with the Kraft cardstock back.  I stamped out the sentiment "Holy Macaroni how old are you now?" on a piece of white cardstock and added a yellow circle  and red lines to create the box logo
D - I used the Down the Line sentiment and stamped it out in red, but you will see later that I changed my mind and went with a blue inked version  of the Happy Birthday sentiment
E - I stamped out the spiral pasta in yellow on a piece of 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" white cardstock to create the background
F, G - I am using a white A2 card base.  I add a layer of 5 1/4" x 4" yellow cardstock  behind the  stamped pasta background and glue each layers into place

H - I color one of the Shell pastas and one of the Penne pasta adding the face, arms, legs and basil party hats (and fussy cut them out). This is where I switched to a blue Happy birthday and layered it on to a piece of blue cardstock
I - I glued the Holy Macaroni sentiment onto the Macaroni box (It looks like a box label) and then glued the shaker box  to the card slightly tilted to the left on and on the left side of the card front as shown
J- I glued the Happy Birthday sentiment on the Right side to the card slightly tilted to the right  on the card front (as shown) making sure to leave room for the Party Pasta
K - I used foam adhesive to attach the pasta to each side of the Happy Birthday sentiment completing the card
