i-crafter February''s Release! Inspiration Team Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends!  Welcome to the i-crafter Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!  I am so glad you stopped by today to join the Inspiration Team for the February Release Blog Hop.  I have three projects to share with you today featuring some of the new die sets available this month from  i-crafter.

The first project is this cute Panda Bear envelope. She is made with the i-crafter Animalopes die set and the Cherry Blossom Bursts die set.

A - I die cut the following pieces from black cardstock - the main envelope body, two panda ears, two large scalloped circles, and the nose / white cardstock - the envelope flap / grey cardstock - the closed eyelids with lashes / teal cardstock - two small scallop circles / pink cardstock - two large scallop circles
B - I folded all the score lines in the envelope pieces and attached the black nose to the white envelope flap  /  I glued the pink scallop circles on the black ears  /  I glued the grey eyelids on top of the small teal scallop circles
C - I used my blending brushes with two pink inks to create a soft messy blush look on white cardstock and then cut two individual Cherry Blossom Bursts

A - After gluing the black envelope body together, I added the panda ears to the flap
B - I glued the nose to the front of the white envelope flap and glued each of the teal eyes  to one of the  small black scallop circle and drew another black half circle on to create the panda eyes and glued them a bit above the noes area
C - I attached the white envelope flap to the black envelope body sealing in the panda ears

A - I die cut two of the leaf sprigs form the Floral Garden die set. I shaped the Cherry Blossoms with a shaping tool and a mist of water.  I glued them just under the left ear overlapping the blossoms and adding the sprigs behind them
B - Using my white gel pen, I added highlights to the eyes completing the Panda-lope!

My second project is the Love Bug Floral Cluster.  This project can be made as a pin to wear or an embellishment for card, scrapbook page, or a gift tag.  You will find I used the Love Bugs dies and the  Floral Garden dies.

A - I use Distressed Oxide inks to create my floral palette with blues yellows and greens and cut our several of the flowers and leaves
B - I sprayed a very gentle mist of water to the back of the flowers and the leaves to loosen the paper fibers
C & D - I used my shaping tool and a piece of thick craft foam to add shape to the leave and the flowers

A - I used black cardstock I painted with a thin layer of Dragonfly Glaze giving that iridescent bug look to the card stock.  I die cut and glued together the love bug beetle B - I glued centers into the flower middles and stared to lay out my design.  I honestly just played around with it until it resonated with me.  At this point stop!  Take a photo so you can refer back to how your design looks.
C - I cut a small circle out of white cardstock and started to recreate my design from the back forward in the step you see below.  I glued each level until the cluster was recreated in steps C - H.

My last  project is Layered Love using the Cherry Blossom Burst dies, Love Bugs Die and the Love sentiment from January's Heart Hand Wiper Insert die.

A- I created the bee form the Love Bugs dies using yellow and black cardstock as well as vellum for the wings
B - I cut 4 of the Love die (from the Hand Heart Wiper Insert die) out of sage cards stock and glued on top of the other to create a raised look  off of the same color cardstock card front
C - I cut the largest Cherry Blossom Burst from dark peach cardstock and the two cluster and three cluster from a light peach card stock.  Lastly, I cut 12 stamen pieces from a slightly shiny orange peach cardstock a friend created and gave to me.  I shaped the flower and the stamens with a shaping tool and glued a stamen into each flower.  I glued the large flower cluster down 1st.  I added adhesive foam squares  to the back of the light peach flowers and attached them on top of the card over the openings in the large flower cluster. I lastly added the bee and the raised Love sentiment to the card front.  I attached this piece to an A2 card base completing the Layered Love card.
